J'espère que vous avez passé un bon weekend (et que vous avez eu meilleur temps qu'ici). Moi je n'ai pas arrêté: un ami est venu de France me voir et j'ai commencé un stage dans une super galerie d'art.

Aujourd'hui, je vais vous parler de mon nouveau salon de thé préféré: The Vintage Emporium. Comme je vous le disais ici, les salons de thé qui vendent des trucs vintage ou des livres, c'est mon dada et celui vaut vraiment le coup d'oeil!

I hope you had a lovely weekend (and you had better weather than in London). I was actually very busy: a friend of mine came from France to visit and I was also working in a great Art Gallery where I just started as an intern.

Today I would like to tell you about one of my new favourite place in London: The Vintage Emporium. As I said here, I am very found of tearooms that also sale vintage stuffs and books, and the Emporium is really great for that!

Le concept est simple: un magasin de fripes qui fait aussi salon de thé. Le rez-de-chaussée est l'endroit où prendre un petit thé ou café accompagné d'une part de gâteau (testé et approuvé!), et le sous-sol est là où se trouvent les vêtements et accessoires vintage. Alors là attention, on ne parle pas d'une friperie de gnognote mais de vrais beaux (et chers) vêtements anciens.

Basically, the Emporium is a tearoom/vintage shop. The ground floor is where you can have a cuppa with a slice of cake (I've tried the blueberry one and it was delicious!), and the basement is where the shop is. Now be aware, this is a proper vintage shop - not just some random junk. You can find victorian boots, 1920s dresses, bowler hats, etc.

La sélection est pointue et vous trouverez tout autant des bottines victoriennes que des robes des années 20.

J'ai également vu sur leur site internet que le magasin/salon de thé organise des évènements régulièrement, tels que des concerts live et des session de dessin.

I've also noticed when looking at their website that they also host events like live music and life drawing.

J'ai passé un très bon après-midi là-bas, et je ne regrette pas d'y être entrée! J'étais en effet passée devant le Vintage Emporium sans jamais y rentrer, mais c'est grâce à la charmante Abby que j'ai pu y prendre un thé. Ca été un plaisir de la rencontrer et je vous recommande chaudement son blog très poétique: Tea With the Moon.

I had such a lovely afternoon there and I am very happy I came in! I actually saw the Emporium many times but never dared coming in until last week. This, thanks to the charming Abby, who has a very poetic blog that you should check right now called Tea With the Moon.

C'est tellement agréable de trouver de nouvelles petites adresses à ajouter à ses favorites! Je pense que la prochaine fois, j'essaierai d'aller à Drink Shop Do car j'en ai entendu que du bien!

It's such a nice feeling finding new nice places in London! Next time, I will try to go to Drink Shop Do as I've heard so many good things about it.
